How do I read Analytics?

Read reply, bounce, unsubscribe, send, open, and click results for a date range.

2 min read

Open Analytics. The default window is Last 30 days.

  1. Select the date button at the top left.
  2. Choose Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or Last 90 days.
  3. For a custom range, choose both dates in the calendar.

The date range is stored in the URL, so a shared link opens the same view.

Tile Calculation
Reply rate People who sent a human reply divided by people emailed
Bounce rate People who bounced divided by people emailed
Unsubscribe rate People who unsubscribed divided by people emailed
Emails sent Individual emails sent in the range

Below the chart, Sent, Replied, Bounced, and Unsubscribed count people. Failed and Remaining count send attempts.

ColdMerge does not show a delivered count. Gmail confirms that it accepted a message, not that the recipient’s server delivered it.

Replies by send-date compares people emailed with people who replied for each day. On a computer, hover a bar for that day’s emailed, replied, and reply-rate figures.

Select Show daily numbers to open a table with each send date, people emailed, people replied, reply rate, and maturity status. This control works with a keyboard, and the table is available to screen readers. Select Hide daily numbers to close it.

Recent send dates are hatched and may show Still maturing. Their reply rates can rise as people answer later.

Opens and clicks appears below the reply-first results. Opens are approximate: Apple Mail privacy and automated scanners can inflate them. Use replies as the primary signal.

If no tracked campaign sent inside the selected range, the section says Tracking is off. Turn it on per campaign to populate this row. Widen the range before changing campaign settings.

If the whole range has no sends, Analytics says No sends in this range.
