Before you connect

Your Gmail account stays yours.

Google will ask to let ColdMerge send email and read mail. Here is what each permission does before you decide.

Google consent

What you will be asked to allow

Keep Send email and Read email enabled. Both are needed to stop follow-ups after a reply.

Required

gmail.send

Send email

ColdMerge sends the campaigns and follow-ups you schedule through the Gmail or Google Workspace account you choose.

Required

gmail.readonly

Read email

ColdMerge checks for replies and bounces to those campaign messages. When someone replies, their remaining follow-ups stop. Google grants access to the mailbox, but unrelated messages are dropped without being stored.

Name optional

Google identity

Name and email address

ColdMerge shows which account you connected and uses your name as its sender name when Google provides one.

Your control

Disconnect whenever you choose

Disconnect a mailbox in Settings → Accounts. ColdMerge revokes Google's grant and removes its stored credential. You can also remove ColdMerge from your Google Account.

What ColdMerge keeps

Campaign and message metadata, contact data you import, and metadata from replies and bounces matched to your campaign. Sent and received message bodies are not stored.

Our privacy policy gives the retention schedule. The mailbox guide shows how to disconnect or reconnect.
