Notifications
Go to Settings, then Notifications, under the You group. The menu describes it as “How you hear about replies and campaign alerts.”
This is a personal setting. It changes how ColdMerge contacts you, not your teammates.
Choose how replies reach you
Section titled “Choose how replies reach you”The Replies row is the one choice on the page. It fires “when a recipient replies to one of your campaigns.”
Open the dropdown and pick one of three:
| Choice | What you get |
|---|---|
| Email, one per reply | An email the moment each reply lands. |
| Email, daily digest | One email a day covering that day’s replies. |
| Bell only | No email at all. Replies still show in the in-app bell. |
Then select Save preferences. The button stays greyed out until you have actually changed something. If you change your mind before saving, a Reset button appears next to it and puts the dropdown back.
A confirmation reads “Notification preferences saved.”

Pick “Email, one per reply” if replies are the thing you are waiting for and volume is low. Pick “Email, daily digest” once a busy campaign starts making your inbox noisy. Pick “Bell only” if you would rather check the app.
Replies themselves land in the Gmail inbox of the mailbox that sent the message, whatever you choose here. This setting only controls the alert ColdMerge raises. See Replies, tracking & verification.
What is always on
Section titled “What is always on”Two rows on the page have a badge reading Always on instead of a control. They are shown rather than hidden so you do not go hunting for a switch that was never built.
- Campaign paused: raised “if sending auto-pauses because a bounce rate climbed too high.” A campaign stopping itself is not something ColdMerge will let you miss.
- In-app bell: “Every reply and alert, shown the moment it lands.” The bell is the record of what happened, so it never goes quiet.
Choosing “Bell only” for replies turns off reply emails. It does not silence the campaign-paused alert.
Emails ColdMerge sends you about ColdMerge
Section titled “Emails ColdMerge sends you about ColdMerge”Separate from campaign alerts, ColdMerge sends the Owner a short run of onboarding tips while you are on trial. They cover getting your first campaign out, seeing your results, and cleaning your list before you send more. They come from ColdMerge, not through your Gmail, and they never touch your sending budget.
Every one of them ends with a line reading “Not useful? Turn these tips off:” and a link. Follow it and the tips stop for the whole workspace. You do not have to sign in first, and you do not have to find a setting.
One email is not a tip and does not stop: the notice telling you your trial is ending, sent the day before. That is a billing notice, and it goes out even if you turned the tips off. See Plans and billing for what happens next depending on whether you have added a card.
The link in the emails is the only place this switch exists. Nothing in the app shows whether the tips are on or off, and there is no setting to turn them back on. If you need the link again, it is at the bottom of any tips email you already received.
